Sk. Sakil v. State Of West Bengal
02.04.2026 Court No.28 Item No.51 ssi CRM (A) 683 of 2026 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Suraksha Nagarik Sanhita in connection with Gurap Police Station Case No. 211 of 2025 dated 29.08.2025 under Sections 126 (2)/ 115(2)/117(2)/76/352/351 (2)/3(5) and adding Section 109 of the BNS 2023.
And In the matter of: Sk. Sakil .... Petitioner Mr. Saryati Datta Mr. Altaf Ali Khan ...for the petitioner Mr. Anwar Hossain Mr. Mujibar Ali Naskar ...for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. He is the husband of the sister-in-law of the de facto complainant. There was a dispute between the private parties over landed properties. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He refers to the statements of the victim and the local witnesses. He also refers to the injury report which shows multiple injuries on different parts of the body including on a vital part of the body like the head requiring seven stitches for repair. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.
Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
