The petitioners pray for disposal of the application filed by the Bank under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act. 4.

The issue whether direction can be passed upon the District Magistrate to dispose of the application under Section 14 of the Act was taken up for consideration by this Court in WPO 14 of 2025 (State Bank of India & Anr. -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors.) and vide judgment dated March 3, 2025, the writ petition stood disposed of by directing the District Magistrate to dispose of the application of the Bank made under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act in accordance with law. 5.

As the facts of the instant case are similar to the facts referred to in the above judgment, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the District

Magistrate, Purba Burdwan to dispose of the application of the Bank made under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the parties.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
