Ardhendu Biswas The contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 14th January, 2002 passed in WP No. 21507 (W) of 2000. It appears that initially a Rule was issued on 21st February, 2003 against the then sole contemnor, Suprobhat Som, Director of School Education. Subsequently, on 6th August, 2004, with the leave of the Court, Ardhendu Sekhar Biwas, Director of School Education and the Principal Secretary to the Government of West Bengal was added as the alleged contemnor and a further Rule was issued against him on 20th August, 2004. Again, another Rule was issued against the said alleged contemnor, Ardhendu Sekhar Biswas on 17th March, 2005 for partial non-compliance of the order for which the initial Rule was issued.

The matter appeared in the list on 22nd July, 2021 and was called on twice, but no one appeared on behalf of the parties. The matter is appearing in the list today marked as "Last Chance" with a note in the list that appropriate orders will be passed if no one appears in the matter. Even today no one appears in the contempt petition. No one has applied for joining in the virtual mode.

It appears that the parties are not interested to proceed further with the contempt petition. The same is disposed of without any further order.

Rules stand discharged accordingly.
