Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the victim in her complaint acknowledged the petitioner to be her husband.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the First Information Report (FIR) lodged at the behest of the victim.

It appears from the FIR that, the petitioner was engaging the victim for the purpose of immoral activities, although, there was a husband-wife relationship between them. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1242 of 2022 is dismissed.
