Learned counsels appearing on behalf of the accused petitioners and the de facto complainant/wife rely on the joint compromise application and submit as follows. The disputes that had led to the registration of the FIR have now been settled between the private parties. The couple is staying together at the same place. In fact, they are expecting their second child.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that charge sheet has been submitted under Section 498A, 323, 506 and 34 of the Penal Code and 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. However, there is no injury report present in the case diary. Considering the nature of allegations and the fact that the compromise and settlement have been arrived at between the private parties over the disputes that had led to the registration of the FIR and in the interest of justice, the impugned proceeding being GR No.4001 of 2021 arising out of Hirapur PS Case No.417 dated 28.12.2021 is quashed on the ground of such compromise and settlement. Accordingly, the revisional application and the connected application are disposed of.
