Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.

The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of representation dated 06.12.2024 addressed to the Inspector-in-Charge, Titagarh Police Station was submitted for cognizable offences having been committed, no steps have been taken by the concerned police station. The petitioner further states that he is being threatened from unknown persons.

Be that as it may, state has submitted a report which reflects that steps have been taken and Titagargh Police Station Case No. 70/2025 dated 27.02.2025 has already been registered for investigation.

Since the police authorities have already registered a case, the primary grievance of the petitioner for filing the present writ petition has been subserved.

If the petitioner is being threatened, in that case the petitioner will take out appropriate application before the learned Magistrate already in seisin of Titagargh Police Station Case No. 70/2025 dated 27.02.2025. The learned Magistrate will call for a threat perception report from the police authorities and thereafter pass necessary directions under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 4777 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
