The petitioners assail the rejection of their bid in respect of a tender which was floated by Panihati Municipality in the year 2022. The impugned rejection allegedly took place in early 2023. The instant writ petition has been filed in February 2025.

It has been alleged that the person rejecting the technical bid of the petitioners did not have the competence or the eligibility to do so.

Learned counsel for Panihati Municipality submits, upon instructions, that the work pursuant to the work order had been completed long ago.

It appears that the petitioners have approached

this Court at an extremely belated point of time. At this stage there is hardly any scope to entertain this writ petition and provide relief to the petitioners.

Hence, the writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed.
