In connection with G.R. Case No.2540 of 2018, the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barasat passed an order dated 20th December, 2021 issuing warrant of arrest against the petitioner. Charge-sheet has been submitted against the petitioner under Sections 272/273 of the Indian Penal Code.

Warrant was issued on 20th December, 2021 as the learned Advocate for the petitioner did not take any step. It is submitted by the learned Advocate for the petitioner that the petitioner will surrender before the Trial Court within a fortnight and in the meantime, the warrant of arrest may be kept in abeyance.

In view of such submission, the instant revision is disposed of directing the petitioner to surrender before the Trial Court within a fortnight. If the petitioner files an application for bail, the learned Magistrate shall consider the same in accordance with law.

Warrant of arrest issued vide order dated 20th December, 2021 be kept in abeyance for a period of three weeks. The petitioner is at liberty to act on the server copy of the order. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J.) Mithun De/ A.R. (Ct).
