Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that petitioner has neither filed any application for alimony nor has any intention to file any such application. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of notice upon the opposite parties. However, the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order upon the opposite parties or the learned advocates representing them before the learned trial judge. From the order-sheets appended to the revisional application it appears that the records were misplaced on several occasions and ultimately it has been traced out and 12th February, 2025 has been fixed for appearance of the parties.

Since the suit is for divorce and the same was filed sometimes in the year 2016, this Court is of the considered view that such a suit is required to be disposed of expeditiously.

In view thereof, C.O. 724 of 2025 is disposed of by requesting the Additional District Judge, 11th Court at Alipore to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 51 of 2016 (R-1756 of 2016) as expeditiously as possible preferably by the end of December, 2025 without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. No order as to costs.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
