It appears from the submission of learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the State respondents that despite objections made by the petitioners to the Regional Transport Authority, Calcutta Region on 11th November, 2020, the Transport Department of the Government of West Bengal has issued a Notification dated 26th December, 2019.

It is also submitted that the petitioners do not have a right to object under the relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

Since it is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that the petitioners should have made a representation to the Transport department of the State and that there is no such representation on record till date, the representation dated 11th February, 2020 being Annexure P-4 of the writ petition shall be treated as a representation to the Transport Department of the Government of West Bengal and the transport department being the respondent no. 1 herein shall dispose of the same within a period of four weeks from

date in the form of a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to all concerned parties. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made over to the petitioners within a week from the date on which such decision is taken.

The private respondent is present.

WPA 3686 of 2020 is disposed of in terms of the above.
