The opposite party no. 2 is the de facto complainant in Bidhannagar East Police Station Case No. 55/2020 dated 10.08.2020 under Sections 498A/406 of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioners herein are the husband and other matrimonial relations of the opposite party no. 2. During the pendency of the aforesaid criminal case, the parties have effected amicable settlement out of Court. A Police report was obtained through the learned Public Prosecutor-in-Charge and it is found from the written statement submitted by the de facto complainant that she has been staying with her husband and other matrimonial relations happily at her matrimonial home. Since the matrimonial dispute has been amicably settled the above-mentioned Police case corresponding to GR Case No. 497/2020 be quashed. The report submitted by the Officer-in-Charge of Bidhannagar East Police Station be kept with the record.
