The petitioners' grievance is that they filed an election dispute before the West Bengal Cooperative Election Commission concerning the election of the Kolkata Port Trust Employees Co-operative Credit Society Ltd., which was held on September 12, 2023. The election dispute was registered as Dispute Case No. 21 of 2023. The petitioners' contention is that, to date, the Election Commission has not disposed of the aforementioned election dispute.

The petitioners are directed to amend the cause title of this writ petition by adding the West Bengal Cooperative Election Commission as a respondent. Mr. Srijan Nayak, learned counsel, who regularly represents the Cooperative Election Commission, is requested to appear on behalf of the Commission in this matter.

In light of the aforesaid facts, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Cooperative Election Commission to dispose of Dispute Case No. 21 of 2023 in accordance with the law, within a period of two months from the date of this order, if it has not already been disposed of.

Accordingly, WPA 4761 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
