In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. The proceedings being DR case no. 8054 of 2024 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tehatta, Nadia, be quashed.

The petitioner be set at liberty at once and discharged from his bail bond.

CRR 959 of 2025 is disposed of.
