-versus- The State of West Bengal and others Mr. Kushal Chatterjee Mr. Sudarshan Halder ..for the petitioners Mr. Ansar Mondal Ms. Somashree Dey ..for the State The petitioners have prayed for a direction upon the authorities to dispose of the pending miscellaneous case bearing Docket No. 471 filed on 30th January, 2026 within a specified time limit.

Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the miscellaneous case arises out of a proceeding for correction of the record of rights. In view of the alternative and efficacious remedy available under the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal Act, 1997 this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition.

At this stage, Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioners on instruction from the petitioner no.5, who is personally present in Court, prays for leave to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to approach the appropriate forum.

The State is represented by its learned advocate. In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocate for the petitioners, WPA 4860 of 2026 stands

dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty as sought for by the learned advocate for the petitioners.
