Petitioner has preferred the writ petition as the case was registered on September, 2023 but till date after about one year and five months the police authorities could not arrive at their final decision regarding outcome of the investigation. I find that the case is being investigated by Special Cell of the Detective Department, Kolkata. Communications have been made to different bank authorities.

The endorsement in the report also reflects that the Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime is overseeing the investigation.

Having considered that steps are being taken, I direct the Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime to monitor the investigation so that the police authorities would be in a position to arrive at a reasonable and

logical conclusion within a short period of time. In case the assistance of the petitioner being the de facto complainant is required an intimation be sent to the de facto complainant by the investigating officer of the case, so that as and when called for regarding documentary evidences or regarding statement or any other information, the de facto complainant would be in a position to assist the investigating agency. With the aforesaid observations WPA 4877 of 2024 is disposed of.

Memo of evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record.
