This contempt application has been filed by the applicants alleging willful and deliberate violation of the order and direction dated 2nd May, 2024 passed in WPA(P) 182 of 2024. The writ petition was disposed of without calling for affidavit and only direction was given to the petitioners to submit a representation and the District Magistrate to consider the same. The order has been complied with. From the order dated 13th August, 2024 passed by the District Magistrate it is seen that elaborate exercise has been done by the District Magistrate and final order has been passed on 28.11.2024. During the course of hearing the applicants were also represented by the advocate. Direction issued to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Kakdwip, South 24 Parganas by the Assistant Director, Block Land & Land Reforms Officer,

Namkhana, South 24 Parganas on 21.05.2025 and in compliance thereof the Sub-Divisional Officer has submitted a report. Orders including the final order dated 28.11.2024 passed by the District Magistrate and the compliance report dated 23rd May, 2025 of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Kakdwip filed in Court today are taken on record.

In view of the aforesaid, the contempt application is disposed of.
