Pursuant to the previous order affidavit-ofcompliance affirmed by the Chairman, Jiaganj Azimaganj Municipality on 29th February, 2014 is filed before this Court and the same is taken on record. On perusal of the said affidavit-of-compliance it appears that in addition to the amount which was payable to the petitioner, the interest as directed by the coordinate Bench vide order dated 11th July, 2019, has also been paid.

It is also submitted by the learned advocate representing the alleged contemnor that the amount has been transmitted to the account on 23rd February, 2024 as it appears from page 6 of the said affidavit. In view of the steps taken by the alleged contemnor as disclosed in the affidavit which has been filed today, it

appears that the order passed by the coordinate Bench dated 11th July, 2019 stands complied with.

However, Mr. Srikanta Dutta, learned advocate representing the applicant disputes the amount of interest which has been paid to the applicant. If the applicant has grievance relating to quantification of the interest as per direction of the coordinate Bench dated 11th July, 2019, leave is granted to the applicant to take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions and observations, the contempt applicant stands disposed of and the contempt proceeding stands dropped.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
