Mr. Majumdar, Learned Government Pleader has produced a copy of the reasoned order dated February 15, 2021 passed by the District Magistrate and Collector, Paschim Bardhaman.

It appears that the said order was passed in compliance with the direction of this Court dated March 19, 2019. The order is a reasoned decision. However, the merits of the said order cannot be decided in this contempt proceeding.

The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the said order by filing an appropriate application. It is also submitted that the copy of this decision has been served upon the petitioner. However, Learned Advocate for the petitioner also accepts the copy of the said decision in Court today. Nothing survives to be decided in this contempt application.

The reasoned order passed by the District Magistrate and Collector, Paschim Bardhaman is taken on record. The contempt proceedings are dropped against the alleged contemnor.

CPAN 221 of 2020 is accordingly disposed of.
