Khan Mr. Arup Sarkar ... for the State We have considered the materials on record. Statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicates the petitioner in the alleged offence. Medical evidence also corroborates the offence of rape. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits. In view of the aforesaid fact and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
