The petitioners had approached the West Bengal Board of Primary Education(hereinafter 'the Board') with a prayer to provide them with a new Login ID and Password for the institution run by the petitioner no. 1 Trust. They also prayed that the email ID of the said Institution registered with the Board may be changed and a new e-mail ID may be provided.

A direction was passed on July 18, 2024 in W.P.A 17866 of 2024 directing the Board to consider the prayer of the petitioners and to pass a reasoned order. The Board had passed a reasoned order on September 19, 2024. The paragraph 5 of the said order runs as follows:- "...

5.

Hence, considering all the information, records, relevant rules, Government Orders and in terms of extant norms, the prayer of the petitioners for changing the email ID

and contact number of Toshani College of Education, Vill- Lohapur, P.S- Nalhati, Dist- Birbhum cannot be accepted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education at present. But in the interest of the students and smooth administration of the said institution, such prayer may be considered if the Board of Trustee of the said institution can take a unanimous resolution in this regard.

The petitioners may approach this Board with such resolution for consideration of their prayer for change of email ID and contact number of the said institution."

Mr. Chaturvedi, learned senior advocate for the petitioners submits that in terms of the said order, the Board of Trustees of the petitioner no. 1 Trust has taken an unanimous resolution on the subject issue and has communicated the same to the Board but the Board is yet to respond to it.

The Board is directed to take a decision on the prayer of the petitioners as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law, preferably within a period of one week from the date of communication of this order.

W.P.A. 4928 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
