The only grievance of the petitioner is for a direction on the respondent nos.4 to 6 being the District Magistrate, Birbhum, the District Land and Land Reforms Officer, Birbhum and the Sub-Divisional Land and Land Reforms Officer, Suri, Birbhum respectively to consider and dispose of the representation dated 5th August, 2019 made to several authorities including the Chief Minister of the State.

The petitioner claims to be the Secretary of Registered Trade Union of Birbhum Zilla Block Land and Land Reforms Office Mohurrior Union and claims to be represented in the interest of all members in the Birbhum. The representation was made with regard to the sudden stoppage of the Mohurrior work by several Block Land and Land Reforms Officers in Birbhum.

These contentions are denied on behalf of the State.

Upon hearing learned counsel appearing for the parties, W.P.A.3787 of 2020 is disposed of directing the respondent no.5 being the District Land and Land Reforms Officer, Birbhum to consider and dispose of the representation dated 5th August, 2019 by passing a reasoned order within a period of six weeks from today. The petitioner and/or his representative and the other necessary parties shall be heard by the concerned respondent before passing any reasoned order. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within 7 weeks from date.
