The relief claimed for by the petitioner cannot be adjudicated in view of the subsequent development that has taken place.

The prayer of the petitioner seeking approval of service stood rejected by the Director of Local Bodies by a reasoned order dated 5th June, 2023.

Till the service of the petitioner is approved upon setting aside the order passed by the Director of Local Bodies, the relief sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition cannot be granted.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands disposed of.

It will be open for the petitioner to challenge the order passed by the Director of Local Bodies on 5th June, 2023, if so advised.

It is made clear that this Court has not entered into the merit of the claim of the petitioner. The order dated 5th June, 2023 passed by the Director of Local Bodies be retained with the records. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
