Mr. Animesh Mukherjee ...for the petitioners Mr. S. Bandopadhyay, Mr. Arka Kumar Nag ...for the State The writ petition is directed against an order dated September 30, 2021, passed by the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal passed in M.A.872/2017 (O.A.3124/2015).

By the impugned order the learned Tribunal noted the contention of the petitioners and returned the finding that, since the contentions of the petitioners were founded on such provisions of the West Bengal Estate Acquisition Act, 1953 which are yet to receive the assent of the Hon'ble President of India, relief as prayed for cannot be granted. State is represented.

As on date, the relevant provisions of the West Bengal Estate Acquisition Act, 1953 on the basis of which, the petitioners seek correction of the records

of right, are yet to receive assent of the Hon'ble President of India.

In such circumstances, we find no material irregularity in the impugned order requiring interference.

W.P.L.R.T. 32 of 2023 is disposed of accordingly.
