1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that a complaint was lodged on 4th February, 2026 against respondent no. 6 and one Susoma Santra.

3. Petitioner prays for direction upon the concerned respondent authorities for protection of her life by extending police protection as the security of the petitioner is at stake.

4. A report dated 16th March, 2026 of Inspectorin-Charge, Singur Police Station along with supporting documents are filed today and same are taken on record.

5. On perusal of the said report dated 16th March, 2026 it appears that based on complaint lodged by the petitioner criminal prosecution being Singur Police Station Case No. 41/2026 dated 4th February, 2026 under the relevant provisions of BNSS was initiated by registering FIR and it is disclosed in the report that investigation is going on.

6. As the police authorities have taken steps by initiating criminal prosecution against accused persons this Court expects that such criminal prosecution to be taken to its logical conclusion.

7. Concerned police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the place in question.

8. Writ petition stands disposed of.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
