The petitioner is serving as a Group-D staff in the Purulia Collectorate. He applied for transfer. 3.

The Joint Secretary, Government of West Bengal, Land & Land Reforms and R.R.&R. Department forwarded a communicating memo dated October 30, 2024 to the DM & Collector, Purulia in respect of the proposal for inter-district transfer of the petitioner. The DM was requested to offer his views as well as consent on the proposal for inter-district transfer. There is no response to the said memo till date. The petitioner is aggrieved by the same.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents is not ready with any instruction. 5.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the DM & Collector, Purulia to take steps in response to the communicating letter dated October 30, 2024 at the

earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6.

The fate of the petitioner's application seeking transfer shall be made known to him.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the communicating memo dated October 30, 2024 along with all supporting documents to the DM & Collector, Purulia for taking steps in the matter.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
