According to learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, the petitioners have simply changed their name from M/s. R.K. Duggar & Co. to M/s. R.K.D.S. & Associates on and from 3rd June, 2013.

According to learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, the respondent authorities are refusing to effect the necessary changes to the vehicle owned by the petitioners and are also demanding huge sum of money. According to learned counsel appearing for the State, the petitioners have to go to e-Vahan portal for any change to be effected.

After hearing learned counsel appearing for the parties, this court is of the view that the facts do not indicate the change of ownership but merely a change of name. However, the Registering Authority being the respondent no.1 will consider and dispose of the

representation made by the petitioner dated 27th June, 2019 by way of a reasoned order in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions and after hearing all necessary parties including the petitioners within two weeks from date. A copy of the said order shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from which such order is passed.

W.P.A.5525 of 2021 is disposed of in terms of the above.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
