In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. The proceedings being GR case no. 3615 of 2022 corresponding to Sessions case no. 38 of 2025 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Bongaon, North 24 Parganas, be quashed. The petitioners be set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bond.

CRR 978 of 2025 is disposed of.

As a consequence, CRAN 1 of 2025 is also disposed of. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance with all requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
