It has been submitted that the petitioner was absent on 13th February, 2024 and, as such, warrant of arrest has been issued against him. Learned advocate submits that the learned lawyer representing the accused filed adjournment petition in spite of warrant of arrest has been issued.

The warrant of arrest so issued be stayed till 5th April, 2024.

Having considered that the case is continuing since the year 2014, I direct that if the petitioner appears before the learned trial court by 5th April, 2024, he may be allowed to continue on the same bail but he would furnish fresh bond in the form of title deed of a property.

In case the petitioner do not appear or surrender before the learned trial court by 5th April, 2024, learned Magistrate would be at liberty to issue harsher process of law adhering to Section 82 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 782 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
