16.04.2026 Sl.No. 14 Ct.No. 32 Amalranjan In The High Court At Calcutta Constitutional Writ Jurisdiction Appellate Side WPA 3813 of 2018 With CAN 1/2020 (Old CAN 1785/2020) Vijay Kumar Singh Vs.

The State of West Bengal and ors.

1. None appears on behalf of the petitioner on call. No accommodation is sought for.

2. This case pertains to the year 2018.

3. Upon perusal of the record it appears that on 11th February, 2026 none appeared on behalf of the petitioner on call. On 2nd April, 2026, on the prayer of learned counsel for the petitioner, matter was adjourned as a last chance.

Despite allowing last chance, none represented the petitioner, nor is any accommodation sought.

4. In view of the above facts and circumstances, it seems that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the instant case.

5. Accordingly, the instant writ petition being WPA 3813 of 2018 is dismissed for default without any order as to costs.

6. Consequently, the application being CAN 1/2020 (Old CAN 1785/2020) is thus dismissed.

7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

8. All parties shall act in terms of the copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

9. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties taking all legal formalities.
