1. The present writ petition has been filed, inter alia, complaining inaction on the part of the Municipal Authorities to sanction the building permit which the petitioner has applied on 13th December, 2024.

2. Mr. Mukherjee, learned Advocate representing the Municipality by placing before this Court a report, would submit that there are various steps in relation to sanction of a building plan. In the present case, the stage up to the

WPA 5202 of 2026 approval of water supply is complete. According to him, there are certain shortcomings which the petitioner is required to rectify for which further consideration of the plan has been held up.

3. Having heard the learned Advocates appearing for the respective parties and considering the materials on record, I am of the view that the Municipality should intimate the shortcomings in relation to the consideration of the petitioner's proposal for grant of permit, for the petitioner to rectify the same. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Executive Engineer (C), Building to communicate the shortcoming to the petitioner in relation to consideration of the petitioner's proposal for grant of sanctioned building plan within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

4. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

5. There shall be no order as to costs.
