It appears that the Director of Public Instruction, Government of West Bengal by his letter dated April 04, 2016 forwarded the proposal for appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground. Such letter is appearing at page 34 of the writ petition.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the case of the petitioner has not yet been considered by the Secretary, C. S. Branch, Higher Education Directorate.

In view of the Judgment delivered on June 27, 2023 by this Court in W.P.A. 5891 of 2023 (Shrimati Binapani Murmu vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors.), this writ petition is disposed of with the direction upon the Secretary, C. S. Branch, Higher Education Directorate to take a decision following the said letter dated April 04, 2016 within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The decision should be communicated to the petitioner within seven days thereafter.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 4836 of 2023 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
