The State of West Bengal and ors.

1. None appears on behalf of the petitioner on call. No accommodation is sought for. Even on earlier occasions, none appeared on behalf of either of the parties on call.

2. This case pertains to the year 2010, almost 15 years have been elapsed.

3. The petitioner has approached before this court by filing the writ petition praying for a direction upon the District Inspector of Schools (SE), South 24 Parganas, respondent no. 3 to approve the appointment of the petitioner as an Assistant Headmaster of Dakshin Mahendrapur High School with retrospective effect.

4. Considering the nature of prayer and long pendency of this case, this court finds that either the petitioner's purpose has been resolved or abandoned his prayer due to passage of time or became infructuous.

5. In the above backdrop, the instant writ petition being WPA 3530 of 2010 is dismissed without any order as to costs.

6. Consequently, the connected applications, if any, are also, thus, disposed of.

7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

8. All parties shall act in terms of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
