And In Re : Rajib Mandal ...... petitioner Mr. Kalidas Saha ....for the petitioner Ms. Faria Hossain Ms. Baisali Basu ....for the State Several persons suffered injuries in an incident of assault.

One of the injured suffered fracture injury. One injured suffered injuries by sharp cutting weapon.

The petitioner is involved in the assault.

In such circumstances, considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 917 of 2023 is dismissed.
