Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 55 days. He submits that the petitioner is the driver of the bulldozer which was subsequently released by the Court.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner drove the bulldozer at 2 O'clock at night over the property knowing fully well that there were people sleeping inside. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary and considering the fact that police are yet to file the charge sheet, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, at this stage.

Prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (DB) 751 of 2022 is dismissed.
