Leave is granted to the learned advocate appearing 18.03.2025 Court No. 35 Item No.18 Rakib on behalf of the petitioner to make necessary corrections in the Cause Title.

Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the arms license was not renewed in his favour and to that effect several representations were made to the police station as also to the Superintendent of Police.

A report has been submitted before this by the Officer-in-Charge, Usthi Police Station which encloses a communication made by Global Force Management Services Pvt. Ltd. to the Inspector-in-Charge, Diamond Harbour Police Station wherefrom it is revealed that the gun license was renewed in favour of one Debdas Mondal who is a relation of the petitioner.

In case there is any dispute between the petitioner and the person who has been granted the approval/license or in whose favour the license has been renewed the same may be contested by filing a fresh

representation to the Superintendent of Police, Diamond Harbour Police District. If a fresh representation is submitted the Superintendent of Police, Diamond Harbour would issue notice to both the parties and thereafter freshly hear the issue preferably within a period of eight weeks and inform the outcome to each of the contesting parties at the hearing.

Petitioner claims that there is a family dispute and for which there is interference in the peaceful enjoyment of life and property. In case any information was furnished to the local police station, police authorities would ensure that there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility or any untoward incident resulting from the strained relationship.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 5070 of 2025 is disposed of.

Reports so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

Copies of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
