The State of West Bengal Mr. Sayan Banerjee Ms. Suparna Dutta .. for the petitioner Supplementary affidavit filed by the petitioner is taken on record.

Since the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of G.R. Case No.4165 of 2019 presently pending before the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track 1st Court, Baruipur, South 24 Parganas, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. This court is informed that charges have been framed on 26th July, 2023. Thereafter, one of the accused filed an application before the learned trial court which is pending consideration. Witness action is yet to commence.

In view of the above, the learned trial court is directed to consider and dispose of the application filed by accused Harun Rasid Khan on the next date of hearing fixed before him and if the same is not possible due to some unforeseen circumstances, within two weeks thereafter. The learned trial court shall take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within two years from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

CRR 990 of 2025 is accordingly disposed of.
