Petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that in spite of directions passed in WPA 21875 of 2024 on or about September 26, 2024, no steps have been taken. Petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that till date no order has been passed in spite of directions passed in the earlier order by this Court.

On the other hand, learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that on 23.11.2024, the petitioners as well as the private respondents appeared before the Inspector-in-Charge, Basanti Police Station. In course of hearing it surfaced that a long standing land dispute is existing between the parties over ancestral property. The dispute being a civil dispute, both of them were directed by the Inspector-in-Charge,

Basanti Police Station for taking steps before the appropriate forum.

Having considered that there has been compliance with the earlier directions passed on September 26, 2024 in WPA 21875 of 2024, I am of the view that further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

Petitioners would approach the jurisdictional civil court for necessary reliefs. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 4954 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

There will be no order as to costs.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioners. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
