1. Report filed by the Joint General Manager (HR), Airport Authority of India, NSCBI Airport, Kolkata and exception thereto as already been filed by the petitioners are kept with the record.

2. This Court is prima facie satisfied with the report filed by the respondents as regards the cancellation of the selection process for the post of Junior Assistant (Fire Service) in Airport Authority of India.

3. This Court does not find any reason to interfere with the order of cancellation of selection process conducted by the respondents pursuant to the recruitment notice dated 30th September, 2022. If the respondents have found that certain circulars and procedures mandatorily required to be complied with in the recruitment process have not been so done, as stipulated in the advertisement itself, they are entitled to cancel the recruitment process.

4. This Court does not see any mala fides on the part of the respondents in cancellation of the recruitment process.

5. Reserving liberty to the petitioners to participate in any fresh recruitment process that may be initiated by the respondents for the posts of Junior Assistant (Fire Service), the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of without any order.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
