The dispute is with regard to the obstruction and resistance posed by the landlady when the CESC officials went to grant new connection to the tenanted premises of the petitioner. The petitioner lodged a complaint about such incidents and Girish Park PS Case No. 14 dated January 28, 2022 under Sections 506/509/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Girish Park PS Case No. 18 dated February 3, 2022 under Sections 506/114 of the Indian Penal Code, were registered. The police report is taken on record. There is nothing on record to show that the CESC had alleged that due to non-cooperation of the police

authorities the new connection could not be given. The CESC, has also not prayed for police assistance. Thus, this court does not find any reason as to why the petitioner has filed a writ petition before this court, alleging inaction of the police authorities. On the complaints lodged by the petitioner, cases have been registered and investigation is proceeding. Such investigations must be reached to its logical conclusion, in accordance with law, expeditiously. The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
