1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. Grievance of the petitioner is in spite of lodging complaint vide email letter dated 28th December, 2025 against the respondent no. 5 concerned police authorities have not taken any steps. It is alleged in the complaint dated 28th December, 2025 that respondent no. 5 entered into the premises of the petitioner and physically assaulted her.

3. Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 11th March, 2026 of Inspector-in-Charge, Serampore Police Station and same is taken on record.

4. From the said communication dated 11th March, 2026 it appears after the alleged

incident which took place on 27th December, 2025 issue was diarised as Serampore Police Station G.D. Entry No. 1988 dated 27th December, 2025 and subsequently police authority submitted prosecution under Section 126 BNSS vide Serampore P.S. NCR No. 1345 dated 30th December, 2025.

5. Therefore, it appears that based on complaint made by the petitioner steps have been taken by the concerned police authorities.

6. It needs to be recorded herein that Title Suit being No. 250 of 2023 is pending before the learned Civil Judge, Senior Division, 2nd Court, Serampore where petitioner and respondent no. 5 are parties.

7. During pendency of the aforesaid suit it will not be apt to direct the police authorities to take steps based on inter se right of the parties over the property in question.

However, concerned authorities of Serampore Police Station, Hooghly are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the place in question and shall keep vigil in order to ensure that no further untoward incident takes place.

8. Writ petition stands disposed of.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
