Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing the Officer-in-charge, Magrahat Police Station, no steps are being taken to safeguard the property as well as the life of the petitioner. It has been also complained that the private respondents have chopped off the trees which were at the petitioner's property and to that effect petitioner suffered loss to the tune of Rs. 2,00,000/-. The private respondents according to the petitioner are influential persons and their association is such that they are able to overpower the petitioner with the intention of grabbing her property.

In view of the petitioner apprehending repeated violations of law at the behest of the private respondents last of the information was sent on

25.01.2024. However, petitioner still feels insecure at the hands of the private respondents.

I have considered the representation which was advanced on 25.01.2024 as well as the plight of the petitioner. Having considered the same, I direct that if the situation so persist, petitioner would file a fresh representation which would be in continuation of the earlier representation dated 25.01.2024 within a period of two weeks before the Officer-in-charge, Magrahat Police Station who would ensure that the private respondents are restrained from carrying out any illegal activities with regard to the property of the petitioner.

Within the aforementioned two weeks as referred to above, the police authorities would keep a strict vigil and ensure that there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility. It is further directed that the police authorities would ensure that no untoward incident takes place because of the strained relationship existing between the petitioner and the private respondents.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 5125 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so earlier called for has been submitted by the learned advocate for the State and be kept with the record.
