Subsequently, pursuant to the intervention of this Court, an information was furnished, consequent to which, Shyampur P.S. Case No. 137 of 2025 dated 20.03.2025 has been registered for investigation under Section 281/106(1) of the BNS.

The report also speaks that investigation has been commenced; the police authorities have recorded the statements including that of the pillion

rider under Section 183 of the BNS and are trying to collect evidence including that of the place of occurrence.

Having regard to the steps taken by the police authorities, I am of the view that the primary grievance for which the petitioner has approached this court, has been subserved.

However, the investigating authorities are directed to take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time by putting in best of their efforts.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 5016 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Reports submitted by Shyampur P.S. and the Bagnan P.S. be kept with the record.

Copies of the reports be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for

the petitioner.
