Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that their right to carry on trade and business has been interfered by certain act/action. Petitioner claims to have flower shop at the vicinity of the Kalighat Temple Complex.

State has submitted a report where redevelopment of Kalighat Temple Complex and its adjoining area has been started by the KMC Authority and Kalighat Temple Committee. As in the report it has been reflected that adjoining area has been fixed for relocation of existing shop owners, I am of the view that police authorities hardly have

any role to play so far as the nature of the dispute is concerned.

Petitioner be well advised to approach the Kolkata Municipal Corporation who are involved with the redevelopment of the Kalighat Temple Complex. Further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

Accordingly, WPA 5137 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report submitted be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.
