Copy of the memo of evidence filed in court, be taken on record. Petitioner seeks bail.

Considering the fact that commercial quantity of narcotics was seized from the possession of the petitioner, we are of the view that the petitioner is unable to overcome the restrictions under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, 1985.

So far as trial is concerned, the Court is informed that May 16, 2022 is fixed for the purpose of recording of evidence of the prosecution.

The trial Court is requested to fix consecutive dates for trial subsequent to May 16, 2022 and endeavour to adhere to the same. The trial court is also requested not to grant unnecessary adjournments to any of the parties.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. C.R.M. (NDPS) 295 of 2022 is dismissed.
