The only relief sought for by the petitioner is that the petitioner be allowed to change her category from Private Management Quota to N.R.I.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has found a sponsor of which she seeks to take advantage in terms of funding her medical education. Counsel further submits that the Mop-up counselling is still not commenced which would be evident from the website of the Medical Counselling Committee, Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal being the respondent no.3.

Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that he is not aware of the exact dates of the Mop-up counselling and also whether there is any scope of adjudication of the representation made by the

petitioner to the concerned Department by way of a Mail dated 11th March, 2022.

After hearing learned counsel appearing for the parties, W.P.A.4715 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the respondent no.2 to consider the writ petition as a representation of the petitioner sympathetically and dispose it of within two weeks or within the cut-off date of the Mop-up counselling, whichever is earlier after hearing all concerned parties including the petitioner. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from date on which such order is passed.

It is made clear that the order is made subject to the fact that the Mop-up counselling has still not commenced or may be continuing or may not have ended as on date.

W.P.A. 4715 of 2022 is disposed of in terms of the above.
