The present revisional application was preferred in connection with M. R. Case No.325 of 2007 passed by learned Judicial Magistrate, First Court, Jangipur, Murshidabad in a case under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

I find from the order so passed by the learned Magistrate that after considering the evidence, the learned Magistrate arrived at a conclusion whereby an award of maintenance of Rs.2,500/- was passed in favour of the wife. Having considered the reasons so assigned by the learned Magistrate, I am of the view that no interference is called for at this stage. Further, the maintenance is not excessive having regard to the present cost of living. Accordingly, CRR 657 of 2011 is dismissed. Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
