Let a copy of the revisional application be served upon Md. Anwar Hossain with Ms. Sujata Das, learned counsels, who ordinarily appear on behalf of the State. They are requested to appear in this matter. Their engagement may be regularised by the competent authority of the State in due course.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an accused in this case. The F.I.R. was registered on 23.10.2021. After being arrested, the petitioner was in custody for some time and was granted bail on 11.01.2022. A charge sheet was submitted on 02.03.2022. Despite the same, the proceeding has not been concluded yet.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that there is no inordinate delay caused in conducting the impugned proceeding.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels for the appearing for the petitioner and the State and have perused the revision petition.

The petitioner is presently on bail. For an F.I.R. that was lodged on 23.10.2021 a charge sheet was submitted on 02.03.2022. In fact, 02.06.2022 is the next date fixed for the supply of copy and appearance. Therefore, I do not find that an inordinate delay has been occasioned in this case.

Accordingly, no direction need be passed upon the learned trial Court regarding an expeditious disposal of the proceeding. However, it is expected that the learned Trial Court would conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible. With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon completion of requisite formalities. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
