Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that out of the 39 witnesses, 26 witnesses have already been examined and the prosecution will expedite the process of completion of trial. It has also been submitted that the materials so far as the present petitioner is concerned do reflect that it is the petitioner who allegedly fired at the deceased. Having considered the materials appearing against the present petitioner and the advanced stage of the case, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

However, State is directed to expedite the process of trial and take the same to its logical conclusion within the reasonable period of time.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 597 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record.
