The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of Belgaria High School, District-Purulia. He applied for general transfer, his application has been rejected on the ground that he is the single teacher of his subject.

Samanta learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner applied for transfer on August 26, 2021 under the West Bengal School Service Commission(General Transfer, Transfer on Special Grounds and Reallocation) Rules, 2015 as such his application should not have been rejected on the ground of single teacher.

It appears from the record that the petitioner had applied for general transfer under the Utsashree Portal, as such the restriction of single

teacher is very much applicable in respect of the application of the petitioner. Besides the said portal since is under suspension there is no scope at this stage to consider the prayer of the petitioner.

W.P.A. 4722 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
