Mr. Aniket Mitra ... for WBSEDCL The petitioner has deposited a sum of Rs.99,000/- against bill for unmetered consumption to the tune of Rs.1,98,562/-. In view of the aforesaid development and keeping in mind the nature of allegations in light of the aforesaid submission made on behalf of the petitioner, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only), with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
